Intro

This week I played mini golf on an approved British Mini Golf Association course. I did not get onto the Leaderboard.

New episode of The Conquistabores!

Wasn’t on the record but don’t let stop you from listening. This show is from around the time I really properly got into wrestling so there’s a load of nostalgia from this time. It also reminded me of one of my favourite daft moments of wrestling; in the build up to WrestleMania VIII they had a press conference to announce the number one contender which looked like this:

It all looks like a normal sporting press conference, until you look at the far left and spy The Undertaker in full get up sat at the top table. Like, why would The Undertaker attend a press conference? Shouldn’t he be in a dank basement area making up a casket or something? This snapshot is a pure demonstration of the daftness of pro-wrestling and I love it.

I watched something!

I finally got around to binge watching Only Murders In The Building this week and had a blast. Its far from a perfect show, like the central murder mystery wasn’t that interesting and the final twist was bordering on a bit too much of a swerve. They also do the thing of telling you important information out of no where rather than it being discovered by the characters. You can forgive it though as its a show saved by its casting; Steve Martin and Martin Short have a great chemistry which they also share with Selena Gomez. The dialogue between them is great and they’re all likeable enough to paper over the cracks. Hopefully with the second series they can improve things and make it really great.

He Wasn’t Wrong

Catching up with AEW Dynamite this week and really enjoyed Christian Cage’s promo explaining why he had battered Jungle Boy last week. It was great heel stuff (running down the crowd, he’s here for the fat paycheck and not for helping people) but the part that escalated it into proper white hot heat was talking about Jungle Boy’s dead father, Luke Perry. Yes, that Luke Perry. The crowd when nuts for this, his big line of “your father is DEAD” being the highlight. When he dropped that line the youngest, who was watching with me, said “well, that was sassy” which I 100% agree with.

Looking forward to the Forbidden Door PPV, as long as no one else gets injured for it. Honestly, this tweet more than sums up whats been happening to folk booked for this show:

Outro

No mini golf planned for the upcoming week which is a damn shame, but if anything changes you’ll be the first to know.

Anyways, bye!
